The representative for quality control both inside and outside the organization

In my current position as a Senior Leader of the quality department, I am responsible the product part quality assurance for the customer (CQA) and the product quality control of the supplier (SQA). For CQA, I am responsible for the mass production that passes through the new model process and quality-related auditing. Additionally, I am handling the customer claims and complaints regarding managing any matters and ensuring that product parts meet quality standards prior to customer delivery. SQA task is similar to CQA but I also supervise and monitor suppliers to ensure that suppliers maintain the standards of the delivery parts.

When a problem occurs, the QA team will be an intermediary between customers, the company, and the supplier. As a representative to manage the quality standard of parts and processes both inside and outside the company, in order to ensure that the products delivered to customers continue to maintain their quality and standards.

Handling and communicating with various people is my challenge

What I like about my job is that I have the opportunity to engage with a diverse group of people and share knowledge, as my current position is taking care of both customers and suppliers. Engaging in internal responsibilities alone will restrict our perspective to our own experiences. However, interacting with external parties allows us to gain different insights from their perspective that be able to beneficial apply it in my job processes.

When I work with external stakeholders, I have to deal with the different personalities and identities of each person. Therefore, the way of communicating and dealing to each person will be different for each case which is challenging for me.

Since graduating, this company has been my first and foremost source of learning and experience, helping me develop my skills and knowledge to this point.

After spending 8 years in this company, my initial lesson was to understand people. By interacting with diverse people, I learned how to effectively engage with them.
Furthermore, the focus on quality has given me risk assessment skills that are applicable in my daily life.
